Wedding at the Château des Grotteaux

Château des Grotteaux

Wedding at the Château des Grotteaux. After a civil ceremony at the town hall of the 17th arrondissement (Paris), our newlyweds headed to the Loire for a more than original pre-wedding. A boat ride followed by a cocktail on one of the many islands of the Loire. The next day, everyone headed to the Château de Grotteaux for a secular ceremony and an outdoor meal.

About the Grotteaux

The Grotteaux are a magical place to keep an unforgettable memory of these great moments. The château, its 33-hectare park enclosed by walls, both listed as historical monuments. As well as the river provide a unique backdrop. The tennis court and pool allow for preparation on the big day while enjoying good moments of relaxation. The orangery can accommodate 150 people. It is always possible to add a marquee or tent. In the park, on the right bank of the Cosson, the presence of the Grotteaux menhir attests to a very ancient human presence. The current château was built in 1620 by Guillaume Ribier. All on older foundations as evidenced by the very beautiful vaulted cellars. Finally, King Louis XIII particularly appreciated this high Blaisois magistrate, deputy of the Third Estate.
